Sensible Heat Load Saving  =  {1.21 J/°C x 450 l/s x (32 – 23)°C    =     4,901 watts

Latent Heat Load Saving  =  {3 kJ/l  x 450 l/s x (20.1 – 9.6) g/kg  =   14,175 watts

Total load reduction  =         9,274 watts

Energy savings  =  9,274 W / 2.2 cop  = 4.215 kW

=  4.215 x 12 x 365 x 0.208

=  RM 3,840 / yr.

 

Cost of CO2 sensor c/w controller & damper actuator   = RM 3,800

Simple Payback Period  =  RM 3,800/ 3,840    =  0.99 yr.
