Clean air protects the cooling coil and ducting against easy staining.  However multistage filters block airflow and is not washable  for repeated use.  Go electronic !!   increase efficiency 40x (green points), low pressure drop (save blower energy), washable for repeated use (environment friendly).

AMALGAM UVC LAMP

UVC energy(germicidal without heat) when applied in extreme dosage, is able to vaporize the organic accumulations in cooling coils cleaning it up in the process and maintaining it clean continuously. This eliminates the need for manual coil cleaning – saving down time and man power, denting of fin, chemical corrosion and extends it’s lifespan indefinitely.  Even old clogged coils can be cold again restoring back it’s cooling capacity and saving significant energy by removing the blockage and allowing max heat transfer  ( fins are no longer insulated by slime which is poor conductor or heat).   Amalgam tubes are used as they are cold temperature resistant and extreme intensity output of up to 2,200 μW/cm2 is used.

Tender Specification Guide

Electronic Filter Panel for AHU

Filtration panels shall be up to 40x more efficient with the use of 2 stage electrostatic precipitation which has an efficiency capable of up to 98.7% arrestance to protect the cleanliness of the cooling coils and duct significantly. Filter shall remain washable for repeated use and pressure drop shall remain not be more than 0.2”wg, saving significant blower sizing and power consumption.  Each electronic cell shall have at least 72 collector plates for maximum dust holding capacity and shall operate on a dual voltage power supply to ensure optimum efficiency.  Test and commissioning shall done with an Air Sampler and a 7 parameter IAQ monitor to ensure the installation performance complies to the Malaysian Indoor Air Quality Code of Practice.  Servicing shall be by means of an industrial 30KW steam blaster. Vendor shall be a IAQ specialist certified by DOSH, and shall exhibit it instrumentation and facility to support the above requirements.

 Amalgam Lamp for AHU / FCU

Powerful and temperature resistant amalgam type emitters shall be installed at the ‘off coil’ position. It shall sterilize the passing air and vapourize any slime from the cooling coils and drain pan, eliminating the need for manual coil cleaning.  It’s output intensity of each tube shall be up to 2,200µW/cm2 @ 1 feet ( point blank measurements are misleading and therefore not acceptable) and shall be powered with an electronic ballast that provides both indicator lights  and dry contact output for fault and power status.   Tube shall be 60” in length where possible and sufficient quantities  shall be installed such that UVC intensity at the cooling coil shall be no less than 500 µW/cm2 at the furthest point, being maintained after at least 1 year of depreciation. Sufficient quantities and intensity shall be provided that the vendor shall guarantee a clean coil with slime or clogging for at least 1 year, eliminating the need for coil manual cleaning and saving coil lifespan. Vendor shall exhibit it’s ability, certification and instrumentation to  Test and commissioning by means of  UVC intensity meter and a 7 parameter IAQ monitor to ensure the installation performance complies to the Malaysian Indoor Air Quality Code of Practice.
